Corben at 10 Months

Corben is crazy, cute, into everything, and WAY too mobile.  I can't get over how completely opposite he is of Rylee in so many regards.  For example, Rylee was probably close to 2 years old before she ever started crawling around and/or standing up in the bathtub.  Corben has been doing this for months already.  It's such a wrestling match.  And not just bathing, but then the drying and dressing.  Changing diapers...all of it is exhausting.  Thank goodness he's so cute!

~The great news is that his sleeping overall has improved dramatically.  He has even slept through the night several times.  And the nights that he does wake up he usually only wakes up once.  Every now and then he has a bad night, but at least it's not every night anymore.

~Naps great in his crib.  Most days he still gets two naps, but sometimes he misses his morning nap.

~Still only has one tooth.

~Finally loves puffs, although he still occasionally gags on them.  Even on just his cereal sometimes.  Seriously don't know what his problem is.

~Loves to ride on his giraffe and will literally sit on there for more than 30 minutes.  This is convenient if I need him out of my way for a little bit.  He does know how to get off...sometimes gracefully, sometimes not so much.

~He crawls FAST and has a built-in radar for when you open the dishwasher, fridge, closet, pantry...basically anything he's not supposed to get into.  If you need something, you better open it fast and get what you want because Corben will be there pretty quick.

~Has taken a few steps here and there.

~Is always (inadvertently) loosening our knobs on the cabinets and furniture.

~Has lately started some hard core rocking in his high chair.  It drives me bonkers, but he loves it.  It's not so bad when he's done eating, but sometimes he gets stared before he's done eating and just forget about feeding him when he's rocking out!

~My mom has green smoothies for lunch most days and we are often there at lunch time.  Corben loves her green smoothies!  We could probably all benefit from a Nutribullet like my mom has.

There aren't many pictures from today and none that were great, but what ya gonna do?

For his 10 month birthday he got a new carseat.  The max height on his infant seat is 30" and that's about what he is.  Months ago we stopped bringing his carseat into church, but in the last few weeks I've started bringing it in again because it's something to contain him in for small spurts of time.  And he even napped in it this past Sunday.  So I think I'll still have the infant seat in the back of the car to take to church and maybe in a store now and then.

After the photos this morning:

I love when they do this!  So does Corben. : )

Pictures from this month...
First taste of lemon

Banned to the kitchen so he doesn't get hit by the swing.

He is always trying to crawl into tiny spaces and he hates when he gets stuck.

Stuffed monkey on his head. : )

Have I mentioned he likes to climb?  He loves sitting on his rocking giraffe these days and occasionally (not too often, thank goodness) stand up on it.

So we've been having nice weather during the days, but it usually still gets pretty cool at night.  Last night there was one night were the low was still around 60 and it didn't get cool in the house and I just hated the thought of putting Corben in his hot fleece pajamas.  And since I hadn't gotten him ones for summer, yet...I scavenged in Rylee's drawers.  So glad someone got to wear these again because there were my favorite. lol  These are Rylee's 18 MONTH pajamas that fit him perfect. You'll be happy to hear this was an isolated incident as we have since gotten him some pajamas for summer.

This happens pretty much every day.  He just loves to clear those shelves.

I tried to get some video of him taking a few steps by he wasn't having any of it.

And last, but not least...some video of the hard core exasperating rocking.  He just loves it.  Give me a headache just watching him.

Love Rylee's cameo in this one. : )
